I started playing gigs from an early age. By my late teens I was playing all over Europe. Playing in the streets and clubs with Scott Price.

Scott was a gifted harmonica player. We performed some shows with noted blues artist Eric Bibb.  We returned to the States and played for a few more years making a few runs back overseas.

I had been studying jazz guitar with my mentor the late Gus DeGazio. He was a great influence.

Since 1980 Big Eric has been leading the Budget Crunch Band and The Eric Walters Orchestra at private parties, corporate events, concerts and nightclubs.

In 1997 the band were featured performers at the Mohegan Sun Casino sharing the stage with Dr. John, Stephen Stills, Grover Washington Jr, Jose Feliciano, and Delbert Mclinton.

Big Eric has performed on national and international radio and television commercials. Some of the the clients that have used his blues based guitar playing and singing; McDonalds, Coke, Pepsi Cola, Frito Lays, Budweiser, Jose Cuervo Margarita Mix, Dannon Yougurt, Shasta soft drinks.....

He also has performed numerous gigs with the late Johnny Johnson. Johnny was the legendary Chuck Berry’s original piano player. He was a Grammy award nominee and a Rock and Roll hall of Fame member. Johnny also was featured in the Rockumentary Hail Hail Rock and Roll with Kieth Richards and Eric Clapton.

As a sideman, Big Eric has worked with such artists as the Vivino Brothers (from the Conan O'Brian Show on NBC), The New Chambers Brothers, The Harvey Brooks Band, Lester Chambers Band, the Drifters, Lou Christie and the Johnny Johnson Band.

Big Eric was also Bobby Brooks Hamilton musical director. Bobby is  a Las Vegas based singer who is the illegitimate son of the legendary singer Jackie Wilson.

As of 2002 Big Eric has been performing in many familiar east coast spots already mentioned here as well as Las Vegas Nevada. With performances at the Bellagio Hotel, The Venetian Hotel, The Monte Carlo Hotel, The Sahara Hotel, The Hyatt Regency at Lake Las Vegas, The Imperial Palace Hotel just to name a few.

From 2003 to 2006  I was in the lead guitar player for the Drifters Coasters Platters show at the Sahara Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas Nevada.

Big Eric is proud to endorse Heritage guitars. Made in Kalamazoo Michigan these guitars are handmade by talented luthiers. He also uses Matchless , Marshall and Boss Katana amplifiers.
